This website

This is a static information website. We have not added website analytics, advertising scripts or tracking cookies. The hosting provider necessarily handles request details, such as an IP address and the requested page, to deliver the website. The app uses the separate services described below.

Information used by JoyMe

JoyMe uses account identifiers and information you provide when signing in or linking an account, such as your email address, name and chosen sign-in provider. Authentication is handled with Firebase, including information submitted through JoyMe's email-linking flow.

The service stores the tasks, habits, schedules, progress, onboarding answers, mood entries and notes you create or submit. It also uses settings such as your time zone and notification preference to provide the app's features.

For reminders, the service uses app/device identifiers and a notification delivery token. For purchases, it uses customer identifiers and subscription or entitlement information to determine access. Apple handles App Store billing.

How information is used

We use information to operate accounts, synchronise app content, provide reminders, verify email addresses, manage access to purchased features, investigate technical problems and respond to support or privacy requests.

If you contact us, we receive the information in your message. Please share only what is needed to explain the issue and avoid sending passwords or verification codes.

Services used by the app

JoyMe uses AWS for hosting, storage and verification email; Google Firebase for account services, messaging and crash reporting; Apple for supported sign-in, notifications, weather and App Store purchases; and RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement processing. These services process information needed for their respective functions. Our current AWS application hosting is in the United States; the other providers process information according to how their services operate, and information may be processed in other countries.

Technical crash reports may be sent to Firebase Crashlytics to help investigate app failures. Such reports can contain technical device/app details and diagnostic identifiers.

Weather and location

If you use location-based weather, the app uses coordinates for weather requests to Apple WeatherKit. City search uses Apple's MapKit service. Weather location state is stored locally for the account. You can choose a city manually and manage location permission in iOS Settings.

Your choices

You can manage notification and location permissions in iOS Settings, use the available account options in JoyMe, and contact us with a question or request about your information. Any optional newsletter choice is separate from the verification messages needed to link an email address.

Account deletion and retained information

To request account deletion in JoyMe, open Profile → Settings → Delete account and complete the confirmation. Main account and application data are removed through that flow; cleanup at Firebase and RevenueCat happens separately and can be delayed while service-provider requests are retried.

Some information remains after the main account is removed. Limited email-verification information may be kept to prevent abuse. Subscription, security and support records, and backup or recovery copies, can also remain while retention and cleanup apply. Requests to remove information at other service providers can take longer if a service is unavailable or a request needs to be retried. Contact us if you need information about records retained after your deletion request.

Deleting your JoyMe account does not cancel an Apple subscription or erase Apple's purchase records. Manage subscription cancellation separately through Apple.
